Day to day operations are ongoing and include many administrative duties (i.e. record-keeping, correspondence, computerization and upgrade of technological supports, office expansion, and equipment acquisition). We also employ stratagies that involve public relations, marketing, advertising and fund-raising to enhance audience development and foster greater public awareness.

Our community outreach programs are facilitated through classes, opem rehearsals, workshops, site visits to schools and youth clubs, and performances. We frequently conduct programs for children in mask-making, African dance, and music/drumming. We also facilitate instruction for playing the various instruments as well as the maintainence and repair of the instruments.

Through field research, cultural exchange programs, and travel-study projects in Africa, the Caribbean, and South America, we are able to accomplish these goals. Documentation and archiving is another important aspect of our work.
